The Rolex Day-Date 40 228238A Black is crafted in a 40 mm case size in 18 ct yellow gold with a fluted bezel. It features a bright black dial with 10 baguette-cut diamonds, and the sunray finish creates delicate light reflections. The dial is complemented by hour, minute, and seconds hands, and includes instantaneous day and date apertures. The perpetual, mechanical, self-winding movement is powered by the Calibre 3255, with approximately 70 hours of power reserve. The watch is secured to the wrist by an 18 ct yellow gold president bracelet with a concealed folding crownclasp. Water-resistant up to 100 meters.
