Founded in 1860 in Florence, Italy by Giovanni Panerai, Panerai combines Italian design, Swiss technology, as well as passion for the sea and incorporates these essences into their timepieces. The company is now based in Switzerland, the country known for its watchmaking.
To this day, Panerai is one of those distinct and immediately recognizable brands that is loved by many—especially those with the wrists large enough to pull off their often substantial cases. The brand even has a cult-like group of enthusiasts called the Paneristi.
Today, their iconic Luminor and Radiomir models are considered two of the world’s most coveted timepieces.
This Panerai Submersible Quarantaquattro Bianco PAM01226 is a dive watch with a 44 mm brushed stainless steel case and an unidirectional rotating bezel to track dive durations.
It has a white dial with luminous hour markers and dots, making it easy to read even in low-light conditions. Features include a date display at 3 o‰۪clock, hours, minutes and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o‰۪clock. The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass.
The self-winding movement is powered by the Caliber P.900 movement with a power reserve of 72 hours. The watch is secured to the wrist with a caoutchouc military green rubber strap and a steel pin-buckle. Water-resistant to 300 meters, making it suitable for professional diving.
